WEATHER SUMMARY:
A few showers accompanied a cold front crossing through the Piedmont earlier this afternoon. Clouds will continue to clear out through the evening. The sky will be mostly clear overnight. This will give us ideal conditions to see the "Pink Moon". It will be a bright *almost* full moon. The moon will not be pink. This is the name given to this full moon because of pink flowers that bloom in spring. The low overnight will be 47.
As high pressure once again builds over the east, Thursday will be mostly sunny though still seasonably cool around 71. Friday will be similar with highs near 70 with more of a mixed bag of sun and clouds. Morning lows will hover deep in the 40s and lower 50s.
This weekend will also feature plenty of sunshine. An upper-level ridge paired with high pressure ushering in southerly winds will guide temperatures higher by Sunday near 80. Early next week will likely feature even warmer highs in the mid-to-upper 80s. Our next shower chance likely won't arrive until next Tuesday.
The normal low is 51, and the normal high is 73.
