How the SURVIVOR Act Could Empower Sexual Assault Survivors

Psychotherapist Dr. Nannette Funderburk is back in studio to discuss what this new law could mean to sexual assault survivors.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Earlier this week NC Governor Roy Cooper signed HB2, "The Standing Up for Rape Victims (SURVIVOR) Act of 2019," into law. The law is expected to clear the sexual assault kit backlog, and prioritize testing recently submitted kits.

Dr. Nannette Funderburk is back in studio to discuss how this might impact survivors and their mental health as they recover from trauma.
