Weekend rain and thunderstorms could be an issue for outdoor plans

Friday: Partly Sunny. Mainly Dry. High 86.

Saturday: Mostly Cloudy. Sct. Rain & Storms. High 75.

Sunday: Mostly Cloudy. Sct. Rain & Storms. High 77.

Tuesday: Partly Cloudy. Warm. High 85.

WEATHER SUMMARY:

We're turning up the heat as we head through the end of the work week, for a little early taste of summer! High pressure is ruling our weather, keeping us dry for a couple of days, but also pumping in that warmth with south and southwesterly winds. We'll even have a touch more humidity by the end of the week, too which is something we haven't talked about much lately. We'll warm into the mid 80s today and Friday, with even some of our southern counties in the upper 80s by Friday afternoon.

Our next weather system will be a cold front that approaches heading into the weekend. It may even stall out across the Carolinas bringing a better rain chance. The weekend won't be a washout, but it won't be a "pretty" one either. Be careful with outdoor plans this weekend as they may be brought inside by occasional showers or a pop up storm. Temperaturs over the weekend will be cooler with clouds and some rain. Highs will be in the upper 70s Saturday and Sunday.

The normal low is 53, and the normal high is 75.
