O'Reilly to 'Factor.' Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor, hastily shortened to The Factor on Wednesday in the wake of Bill O'Reilly's ouster, averaged 2.8 million viewers with guest hosts last week, not far below the 3.1 million it had in the last week of March, before the controversy surrounding his exit. Gone after a 21-year run, its replacement, Tucker Carlson Tonight, averaged 3.2 million on Monday this week.

Oh, jeez. FX's Fargo returned for a third season Wednesday with 1.4 million same-day viewers, down from last season's 1.6 million in October 2015, though delayed viewing was higher. Sunday, Lifetime's Mary Kills People opened with 1 million and HBO's Silicon Valley returned for a fourth season with a series-low  867,000, hurt by the lack of its usual Game of Thrones lead-in, and was down from 1.9 million for last season's opener.

Finale time: Fox's disappointing reboot, 24: Legacy, closed its 12-episode season with 3.4 million viewers Monday. Also wrapping it up: FX miniseries Feud: Bette and Joan (1.3 million Sunday) and NBC's Trial & Error (an average of 3.4 million for two Tuesday episodes).
