'I'ma let you finish': ‘Daily Show’ warns Trump not to go full Kanye

Where it all began.

Sorry, Taylor Swift we’re going to need you to be a part of this narrative for just a little bit longer. At least long enough for people to read this post.

Daily Show correspondent Jordan Klepper filled in for the show’s host, Trevor Noah, Thursday. Rest assured an under-the-weather Noah — and those dimples — are expected to make “a full and very handsome recovery.” Phew.

Around the 6:30 mark, Klepper reminded us why it’s so important that Donald Trump not contest the outcome of the presidential election as he’s indicated he might.

My friends, mentally prepare yourselves to go Back to December Sept. 13, 2009, for those infamous MTV Video Music Awards in this NSFW clip.

“If you want to see how disputed election results can really tear a nation apart,” Klepper began, “don’t forget this shocking footage.” Cut to Kanye West interrupting Swift’s acceptance speech for best female video, when You Belong With Me beat Beyoncé's Single Ladies.

“Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you,” Mr. West said. “I’ma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time.” Seven years later that’s still hard to watch. But Klepper expressed we need to settle this beef once, and for all and we agree.

“Even orange juice and toothpaste are like, ‘Guys learn to live together,’” Klepper joked.
