LeBron gets emotional reflecting on 6 straight Finals: ‘It means everything’

The Cavaliers beat the Raptors in Game 6 on Friday in Toronto to win the Eastern Conference Championship. LeBron James scored 33 points, and he’ll be playing in his sixth straight Finals.

Doris Burke talked to James on the court after the buzzer sounded. One of the questions she asked was what James is proudest of. He responded with a lot of emotion in his voice.

James says:

“I don’t know, Doris. I’ve heard all the questions, and that right there is a stumper. I’m just very humbled and gracious that the man above has given me the opportunity to play the game that I love. I get to go out here and do it every single night in front of my fans. It is very emotional to be part of something like this, this is my sixth straight, and it means everything.”

Kyrie Irving also got a little emotional while reflecting on the season in his postgame on-court interview.

Whoever the Cavs play in the Finals, whether it’s the Thunder or the Warriors, won’t be easy to beat, but they have a moment to enjoy this.
